Common Approaches
There's more than one way to approach a painting project. Here's a plain-language breakdown of the most common options, so you can go into your estimate with a sense of what might fit your project.
Interior
Walls, ceilings, trim, and doors inside the home. Often priced by room, with prep work (patching, sanding) as a factor.
Exterior
Siding, trim, and other exterior surfaces. Priced largely by square footage and surface condition, since prep work can be more involved.
Both
A combined interior and exterior project, which can sometimes be scheduled together for efficiency.
Not sure which approach is right for your project? That's completely normal — mention it when you request your estimate, and a project assistant can help you think through the tradeoffs.
